世界是一本多彩的书，每一页都写着不同的故事。这个多元文化周，我们把墨西哥、南非和英国“搬”进了美华。孩子们化身为小小文化使者，在摊位游戏中触摸世界、在舞蹈与手工里感受差异。IB教育相信，儿童是天生的探究者——当他们用双手击打皮纳塔、用彩笔描绘恩德贝勒房子、用笑声跳起苏格兰舞曲时，国际情怀便悄然生根。
The world is a colorful book, and every page tells a different story. During Multicultural Week, we brought Mexico, South Africa, and the UK into Meihua. Our children became little cultural ambassadors, exploring through booth games.
小班·墨西哥：热情的色彩与节奏
走进小班的墨西哥摊位，扑面而来的是阳光般的热情。孩子们亲手制作一顶顶墨西哥帽子，用彩纸、贴片装饰出独一无二的宽檐帽;在击打皮纳塔的欢呼声中，他们学会了轮流与等待，也体验了分享糖果的快乐。画面具环节，孩子们用鲜艳的颜色描绘出充满想象力的图案，每一张面具都是小小自我的表达。最后，大家跟着节奏跳起墨西哥舞——在舞动中感受拉丁文化的奔放与自由。
The preschool Mexico booth greeted us with warm, sunshine-like energy. Children made their own sombreros, decorating them with colorful paper and stickers. Amid the cheers of hitting the piñata, they learned to take turns and experienced the joy of sharing candy. In the mask-painting activity, they used bright colors to create imaginative designs—each mask a little expression of self. Finally, everyone danced to Mexican rhythms, feeling the passion and freedom of Latin culture.
中班·南非：彩虹之国的韵律与创造
中班的南非之旅从非洲舞开始。鼓点响起，孩子们扭动身体、拍打节奏，用最直接的方式感受非洲大陆的生命力。在南非恩德贝勒彩绘房活动中，他们认识了恩德贝勒人独特的几何彩绘艺术，用画笔在纸板房屋上画出对称的图案，每一笔都藏着对“家”与“美”的理解。淘金活动则把孩子们带回南非的黄金历史——在沙盘中筛找“金粒”，他们体验了探索与发现的惊喜，也懂得了劳动与收获的意义。
The South Africa journey began with African dance. As drums played, the children moved and clapped to the beat, feeling the vitality of the African continent. In the Ndebele painted house activity, they learned about Ndebele geometric art, painting symmetrical patterns on cardboard houses—each stroke holding their understanding of "home" and "beauty." The gold panning activity took them back to South Africa's gold rush history. Sifting for "gold nuggets" in sand trays, they experienced the thrill of discovery and learned the meaning of effort and reward.
大班·英国：传统与优雅的碰撞
大班的英国摊位充满了传统与创意的交融。涂鸦胡桃夹子让孩子们认识了这位英国圣诞节故事中的经典角色，他们用色彩和线条赋予胡桃夹子新的生命。摊煎饼活动还原了英国煎饼节的欢乐场景，孩子们小心翻动平底锅，感受英式生活的趣味。玛丽向前冲游戏考验着协调与勇气，笑声此起彼伏。最后，大班全体集体表演苏格兰舞曲，在悠扬的风笛旋律中，孩子们手拉手踏步、旋转，用身体感受苏格兰的节日气氛与集体荣誉。
The UK booth was full of tradition and creativity. Painting nutcrackers introduced children to this classic figure from British Christmas stories, brought to life with color and line. The pancake-flipping activity recreated the fun of Pancake Day, with children carefully flipping pans and enjoying a taste of British life. The "Mary's Race" game tested coordination and courage, with laughter everywhere. Finally, the senior class performed a Scottish dance together. To the sound of bagpipes, they held hands, stepped, and twirled, experiencing Scotland's festive spirit and collective pride.
在体验中成为胸襟开阔的世界小公民
IB超学科主题 “我们是谁” 与 “我们身处什么时空” 引导孩子理解自己与他人的文化。多元文化周不是简单的“游园会”，而是一个完整的探究单元：孩子们通过制作、游戏、舞蹈和表演，主动比较不同国家的习俗与表达方式。他们在击打皮纳塔时学会尊重规则，在跳非洲舞时感受集体节奏，在苏格兰舞曲中体会合作之美。这正是IB学习者培养目标中 “胸襟开阔” 与 “懂得关爱” 的真实体现——知道世界很大，也愿意拥抱不同。
The IB transdisciplinary themes "Who We Are" and "Where We Are in Place and Time" guide children to understand their own culture and others'. Multicultural Week is not just a "fun fair"—it is a complete unit of inquiry. Through crafts, games, dance, and performance, children actively compare customs across countries. They learn to respect rules when hitting the piñata, feel collective rhythm in African dance, and appreciate cooperation in Scottish dance. This reflects the IB learner profile attributes "open-minded" and "caring"—knowing the world is big, and being willing to embrace differences.
一次多元文化周，三个国家，无数个惊叹的瞬间。当孩子们戴着墨西哥帽子、举着恩德贝勒彩绘房、跳着苏格兰舞曲时，世界不再是地图上的名字，而是他们亲身经历过的快乐。愿这份对世界的好奇与善意，伴随他们成长为有文化根基、有国际视野的终身学习者。
One Multicultural Week, three countries, countless moments of wonder. When children wear Mexican hats, hold Ndebele painted houses, and dance to Scottish tunes, the world is no longer just names on a map—it is joy they have lived firsthand. May this curiosity and goodwill accompany them as they grow into lifelong learners with cultural roots and international perspectives.
