金秋十月，山河锦绣。
在中华人民共和国成立77周年到来之际，成都青苗学校全体师生齐聚，举行庄严的升旗仪式。
晨风浩荡，红旗飘扬。当国歌声响起，全体师生肃立注目，心中涌起同一个祝愿——祝愿伟大的祖国，生日快乐。
双喜同至：
77载家国荣光 × 青苗十年芳华
中华人民共和国77周年华诞。从1949年天安门城楼上的庄严宣告，到七十七载风雨兼程，今天，我们的祖国国泰民安、自信昂扬，在世界舞台上展现着从容的大国风范。
青苗学校落地成都十周年。2016年，一颗办学的种子在成都悄然萌芽;十年春华秋实，如今已是桃李芬芳、享誉西南。
十年，于历史长河不过弹指一瞬;于成都青苗，却是一段从无到有、由苗到藤的成长史诗。
两位同学都在讲话中提到了这份"双重庆典"的分量：我们既是祖国繁荣昌盛的受益者，更是民族伟大复兴的建设者;既是青苗十年荣光的见证者，更是青苗未来篇章的书写者。

我们以最庄重的仪式向祖国致敬
今天的青苗校园，格外庄重。
全体师生列队肃立，目光追随那一抹缓缓升起的中国红。国歌声响彻校园，每一个人都在用自己的方式，向这片土地、向这个时代、向走过77载春秋的祖国母亲，致以最诚挚的敬意。
两位学生代表登台，用中英双语发表国旗下演讲。同一种情怀，两种表达——他们讲述的核心只有一个：我们与祖国，血脉相连。
七十七载风雨兼程，一代又一代中华儿女用汗水、智慧乃至生命，书写了从站起来、富起来到强起来的壮丽篇章。
两位同学在发言中不约而同地提醒我们：
"The progress we enjoy today did not come easily. It was built through the hard work, dedication, and sacrifice of countless people who came before us."
这份来之不易的荣光，是无数先辈用青春甚至生命换来的，也是我们这一代少年必须接续守护、奋力传承的使命。
少年自有凌云志，不负韶华行且知。
发言中有一句话格外打动人心：
"With opportunity comes responsibility; with growth comes the responsibility to give back."
机遇带来责任，成长意味着回馈。
我们生逢盛世，是祖国繁荣昌盛最直接的受益者;而终有一天，接力棒会交到我们手上，我们也将成为民族伟大复兴的建设者。
不必追求惊天动地的壮举。从今天可以做到的事开始——
认真学好每一门课程，夯实学养根基，为将来建设祖国积蓄力量;
善待他人，心怀感恩，让温暖在人与人之间流动;
对自己负责，勤勉自律，自立自强，砥砺意志品格;
坚守中国底色，同时胸怀天下格局，做一个既有根又有光的人。
做好当下的每一件小事。积跬步，方能至千里。
今日青葱少年，明日国之栋梁。
在青苗，家国情怀从来不是一句口号，而是藏在每一次文化体验里的认同与自信。
同学们在发言中细数了那些温暖的校园记忆——春节写春联、看舞龙舞狮，在浓浓年味里读懂中国文化的根;中秋节围坐猜灯谜、传统服装走秀，在团圆中感受家的温度;而在韩语活动、音乐节等多元文化体验中，我们学会尊重与欣赏世界的差异。
坚守中国底色，胸怀天下格局——这正是青苗少年献给祖国最好的成长答卷：因为有根，所以走得远;因为自信，所以更包容。
本次讲话以中英双语呈现，恰是这份气质的写照：扎根本土，拥抱世界，用世界的语言讲好中国的故事。
今天，AI浪潮奔涌，世界格局风云变幻，未来有着无数不确定性。
但两位同学都给出了坚定的回答：我们不必畏惧未知，因为家国，就是我们最坚实的后盾。

从2016年落地成都的办学初心萌芽，到青苗学校十年春华秋实，如今桃李芬芳、享誉西南。十年，于历史长河不过弹指一瞬，于青苗却是一段从无到有、由苗到藤的成长史诗。青苗的每一步成长，离不开时代的赋能、家国的滋养;每一位青苗学子的由苗到藤，离不开学校的支持、教师的守护。少年的我们，生逢盛世，自当奋发图强，在青苗校园中拔节生长、逐梦启航。
青苗的核心价值观是“爱·关心·支持”。这三个词，看似简单，却蕴含着教育的温度与深度，贯穿我们校园生活的每一天。
“爱”是坚守中国底色、胸怀天下格局，是兼容多元文化、培养全球视野，是悉心教诲、默默坚守，是允许犯错、温暖包容。比如我们去年举办的粉红日活动，大哥哥大姐姐带领弟弟妹妹们参加有趣的活动，在奔跑与欢笑中学会彼此照顾;我们的春节活动，大家写春联、看舞龙舞狮，在浓浓年味里读懂中国文化的根;我们的中秋节活动，围坐一起猜灯谜、传统服装走秀，在团圆的味道里感受家的温暖;我们的韩语活动，同学们学会书写自己的韩语名，在多元文化的碰撞中学会尊重与欣赏;我们的音乐节，台上台下一起歌唱、一起鼓掌，所有美善的力量在旋律中汇聚。这些活动让我们真切感到：爱，不只是被守护，更是主动去温暖别人。
“关心”是细致入微的成长守护，是因材施教的用心培育，是同学互助、携手共进的真挚情谊，是面向未来、融通世界的使命担当。比如每一次有新生加入青苗，身边都有一位老生带领——从找教室到熟悉食堂，从选课建议到课间聊天，一份份小小的善意让陌生变成熟悉，让新同学很快找到归属感。刚过去的教师节，学生们把对老师的祝福写满卡片，一句句“谢谢您”“您辛苦了”，是关心最温暖的回响。关心，有时就是一句“我陪你”，有时就是一份记得。它不喧哗，却如春雨般润物无声，让每一个身处青苗的人都能感受到被看见、被珍视。
“支持”是认真聆听、积极回应，是坚持学术标准、全力托举，是看见每一个人的闪光点，是唤醒沉睡的天赋、点燃眼里的光，是助力“由苗到藤、卓越一生、幸福一生”的每一个行动。在青苗，支持从不抽象，它落在每一天的陪伴里：班主任和心理老师始终在身边，倾听我们的烦恼，守护我们的情绪;ASA让我们自由选择所爱;而里程碑项目，则让每一个人的闪光点被看见、被肯定。支持，就是让每一个“我可以试试”都变成“我真的做到了”。它告诉我们，成长路上，我们从不孤单。

Dear Teachers and Fellow Students,
Good morning!
This morning, as the breeze moves across our campus and the national flag flies proudly above us, we gather together to celebrate two very special occasions: the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 10th anniversary of BIBS. Two celebrations. Two important milestones. And one moment for all of us to pause, look back, and look ahead. Because our personal growth, the growth of our school, and the future of our country are not separate stories. They are deeply connected. And that connection reminds us of something important: with opportunity comes responsibility; with growth comes the responsibility to give back.
When we look back at our country’s history, we see a remarkable journey. From the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949, generation after generation of Chinese people have worked with courage, wisdom, and determination to build a better future. Over the past 77 years, our country has experienced tremendous change and development. Today, China stands with confidence on the world stage.
The progress we enjoy today did not come easily. It was built through the hard work, dedication, and sacrifice of countless people who came before us. And now, it is our turn. We are the next generation. It is our responsibility to learn from the past, make the most of the opportunities we have today, and carry this legacy forward.
Ten years ago, in 2016, BIBS took its first steps in Chengdu. Ten years later, look at where we are today. A small seed has grown into something much bigger—a vibrant school community filled with students who are learning, growing, and discovering who they want to become. Ten years may be only a moment in the course of history, but for BIBS, these ten years have been a journey of growth—from seed to vine.
And none of us grows alone. Every step we take is supported by our school, guided by our teachers, and strengthened by the people around us. That is why the core values of BIBS—Love, Care, and Support—mean so much to us. They may be just three simple words, but when we look at our everyday life at BIBS, we can see them everywhere.
Love means knowing where we come from while being open to the world around us. It means respecting different cultures, different ideas, and different ways of seeing the world. It means our teachers continuing to guide us, even when we make mistakes. And it means learning that we are not only here to be cared for—we are also here to care for others. Think about our Pink Day last year. Older students led younger students through activities, games, and laughter. And while we were having fun, we were also learning something important: how to look after one another. Think about our Spring Festival celebration. We wrote Chinese couplets, watched dragon and lion dances, and experienced the traditions that connect us to our culture and our history. At the Mid-Autumn Festival, we gathered together, solved lantern riddles, and enjoyed a traditional costume show. Through our Korean activities, we learned to write our names in Korean and experienced how different cultures can come together. And at our Music Festival, we sang together, laughed together, and applauded one another. Different activities, different cultures, different people—but the same message: love brings us together.
Then there is Care. Care is often found in the smallest things. It is noticing when someone needs help. It is remembering someone’s name. It is asking, “Are you okay?” It is saying, “I’ll go with you.” Whenever a new student joins BIBS, an older student is often there to help—from finding the classroom and getting familiar with the cafeteria, to understanding the schedule, choosing courses, or simply having someone to talk to during break. These may seem like small things, but sometimes, small acts of kindness can make a huge difference. They can turn an unfamiliar place into a place that feels like home. And just last week, on Teachers’ Day, many students wrote cards for their teachers. Simple words like “Thank you” and “You’ve worked so hard” may seem ordinary, but sometimes, the simplest words carry the most warmth. That is care. It does not need to be loud. It does not need to be dramatic. Sometimes, it is simply being there. Sometimes, it is simply remembering. And sometimes, it is simply letting someone know: “I see you. I care about you. You matter.”
At BIBS, support means listening. It means responding. It means helping someone believe that they can do something—even before they believe it themselves. At BIBS, support is not just an idea. It is something we experience every day. Our homeroom teachers and counselors are there when we need someone to talk to. Our ASA programs give us opportunities to explore what we love. Our Milestone Projects give us opportunities to discover our strengths and show what we can do. And sometimes, support is what turns “Maybe I can try” into “I did it.” That is the power of support. It reminds us that we do not have to face every challenge alone. No one is an island.
Today, the world around us is changing faster than ever. Artificial intelligence is transforming the way we learn and work. The world is becoming more connected, but also more unpredictable. And as young people, we may sometimes wonder: What will the future look like? What kind of jobs will we have? What kind of challenges will we face? What kind of people will we become? We may not have all the answers yet, and that is okay. Because we do not need to know exactly what the future holds in order to prepare for it. We can start with what we can do today. Study each subject seriously. Build a strong foundation. Treat others with kindness and gratitude. Take responsibility for our choices. Be disciplined. Be independent. Be willing to make mistakes and learn from them. And do the small things well. Because great journeys are not built in a single day. They are built one small step at a time.
So, fellow students, today, we are young people standing at the beginning of our journey. Tomorrow, we may become scientists, artists, entrepreneurs, teachers, engineers, doctors, leaders—or something that does not even exist yet. We are not only students at BIBS. We are part of its story. We are the people who have witnessed its first ten years, and we are also the people who will help write its next ten. We have benefited from the opportunities created by the generations before us, and one day, it will be our turn to create opportunities for those who come after us.
So, as BIBS begins its next chapter, let us carry three things with us: Love—to care for others. Care—to notice and value the people around us. Support—to lift one another up and help each other grow. Let us carry the warmth we have found here. Let us carry the courage we have built here. And let us carry the belief that no matter how uncertain the future may be, we have the power to shape it. May we grow from seed to vine. May we dream boldly. May we face every challenge with courage. And may we use what we learn at BIBS to make the world around us a little better. Happy 77th anniversary to the People’s Republic of China. Happy 10th anniversary to BIBS. And to every student standing here today—this is our time to grow, this is our time to dream, and this is our time to begin writing the next chapter.
