“The Extended Essay and TOK class have no fixed templates or single correct answers, teaching me to conduct independent research and logical reasoning, instead of blindly following textbooks and established theories.” This mindset accompanied my undergraduate studies at PolyU, helped me form unique perspectives in market research and consumer case analysis, and laid a solid foundation for my interdisciplinary postgraduate study.
2.Diversified exploration and continuous iteration of self-awareness
"The IB’s diverse subject options and inclusive, open environment saved me from being confined to a single career track." She stepped out of her business comfort zone, took cross-disciplinary courses and completed internships across different industries. Through art curation practice, she saw the potential of integrating business, culture and society, and discovered the field she truly wants to devote herself to.
3.Immersive all-English environment, consolidate international competitiveness
Three years of all-English teaching enabled me to seamlessly adapt to the English-medium instruction at universities in Hong Kong, equipped me with cross-cultural communication skills and the ability to solve problems independently, and allowed me to pursue interdisciplinary studies with ease.

本科四年，她曾在盲目努力中内耗，慢慢读懂核心成长法则：埋头冲刺不等于等价回报，找准方向精准发力才是高效成长。
她主动拓展边界，在北京嘉德艺术中心参与艺术策展运营实习。高中音乐会积累的舞台执行、现场统筹能力让她快速胜任，也成为人生规划的关键转折点——不再局限传统商科，看见文旅、政策、城市发展等多元融合的研究价值。
因此她选择香港大学中国发展研究硕士。专业立足全球视野，覆盖经济、贸易、城市、政策、文旅等跨领域内容。对她而言，这不是跨界转行，而是IB启蒙、本科沉淀、实践试错后，贴合内心的理性抉择。
During her four years of undergraduate study, she once suffered from internal friction brought by blind hard work. Gradually, she grasped the core principle of growth: relentless grind does not yield equivalent rewards, and efficient growth lies in identifying the right direction and exerting targeted efforts.
She took the initiative to broaden her horizons and interned in art curation and operation at Guardian Art Center in Beijing. The stage management and on-site coordination capabilities she built through high school music performances allowed her to fit into the role swiftly. This internship also marked a pivotal turning point in her life planning — she broke free from the confines of traditional business studies and recognized the research value of interdisciplinary integration spanning cultural tourism, policy and urban development.
That is why she opted for the Master of China Development Studies at The University of Hong Kong. Rooted in a global perspective, this program covers interdisciplinary fields including economy, trade, urban development, policy and cultural tourism. For her, this is not a random career switch, but a rational choice aligned with her inner aspirations after the enlightenment of IB education, undergraduate accumulation and trial-and-error practices.

Vivian一直低调踏实，却从不缺少挑战自我的勇气。从高一开始便主动尝试高难度学术竞赛，认真落实老师的建议。在自己热爱的领域里默默努力，不断绽放光芒。本科期间她始终与母校保持联系，多次返校分享经验，鼓励学弟学妹。如今又获港大研究生录取，老师由衷为她高兴，相信这份专注与热爱会带她走向更广阔的未来。
Vivian is always modest and down-to-earth, yet she never lacks the courage to challenge herself. Starting from Grade 10, she took the initiative to take part in challenging academic competitions and faithfully followed teachers’ guidance. She worked quietly in fields she loved and shone brighter and brighter over time. During her undergraduate studies, she kept in close touch with her alma mater and returned many times to share her experiences and inspire junior students. Now that she has been admitted to the postgraduate programme at HKU, all her teachers are genuinely delighted for her. We believe her dedication and passion will lead her to a broader future.
