Hello everyone, I’m Joe Chen from P3, a cheerful young man from the Buyi ethnic group.
我沉静内敛，亦心怀热忱。在成长的路上，始终相信：生命最美的姿态，是温柔而坚定，内敛却有力量。
I am calm and reserved, yet passionate at heart. As I journey through life, I have always believed that the most beautiful aspect of life is being gentle yet resolute, and reserved yet powerful.

我热爱英语阅读，每学期都被评为"英语阅读之星"。曾在 SPBCN 国际英文拼词大会荣获市总决赛一等奖;在“希望之星”风采展示大会上，身着布依族传统服饰自信登台，展现民族少年的风采，荣获省赛一等奖。数学与信息学的数字世界里，同样让我沉浸。在 2025 年澳大利亚数学测评(AMC)中获得全国三等奖;在 2023—2024 学年全国中小学信息技术创新与实践大赛中，荣获省赛一等奖、国赛二等奖;同时坚持硬笔书法，顺利通过七级认证考试。
I love reading in English and have been named “English Reading Star” every semester. I won first prize in the city finals at the SPBCN; at the “Stars of Hope” Talent Show, I confidently took the stage in traditional Buyi ethnic attire, showcasing the spirit of a young ethnic minority student, and won first prize in the provincial competition. I am equally immersed in the digital world of mathematics and computer science. I earned a third-place national award in the 2025 AMC; in the 2023–2024 National Primary and Secondary School Information Technology Innovation and Practice Competition, I won first prize at the provincial level and second prize at the national level; I also practice calligraphy diligently and have successfully passed the Level 7 certification exam.
这些荣誉并非光环，而是时光赠予我的小小肯定。
These honors are not a halo, but rather a small token of recognition that time has bestowed upon me.
砺剑·成长
Sharpening the Sword · Growth
我是一名左手剑客，也是芜湖市击剑队注册队员。
I am a left-handed fencer and a registered member of the Wuhu City Fencing Team.
每周末和长假往返合肥与芜湖进行系统训练，无论寒暑，从未间断。击剑不仅考验技巧，更需要强大的体能与毅力——步伐、反应、力量、耐力，每一项都要反复打磨。
Every weekend and during long holidays, I travel back and forth between Hefei and Wuhu for systematic training, never missing a session, regardless of the weather. Fencing tests not only skill but also requires exceptional physical fitness and perseverance—footwork, reaction time, strength, and endurance—each of which must be honed through repeated practice.
在一次次比赛中，我学会沉着应对、冷静判断，体验过胜利的喜悦，也经历过失利的淬炼。左手持剑的独特，让我比常人多了一份耐心与坚持;剑道之上，我收获专注、勇敢与格局，懂得输赢皆是成长，热爱可抵岁月漫长。
Through countless competitions, I have learnt to remain composed and make clear-headed judgements; I have experienced the joy of victory and been tempered by the trials of defeat. The uniqueness of holding the sword in my left hand has given me an extra measure of patience and perseverance; on the path of kendo, I have gained focus, courage and a broader perspective. I have come to understand that both victory and defeat are opportunities for growth, and that passion can endure the passage of time.

自律·温暖
Self-discipline · Warmth
在家中，爸爸妈妈为事业打拼的身影，我时常看在眼里。他们奔波忙碌时，我会安静自主学习、认真完成课业。生活上坚持自理，自己的事情自己完成，尽可能不让爸爸妈妈多操心。闲暇时，我会主动分担家务，打扫整理，做爸爸妈妈贴心的小帮手。
At home, I often see my parents working hard to build their careers. Whilst they are busy with their work, I study quietly on my own and complete my schoolwork diligently. I take care of my own daily needs and do my own chores, trying as much as possible not to cause my parents any extra worry. In my spare time, I take the initiative to help with the housework, tidying up and cleaning, and act as a helpful little assistant to my parents.
课余时光，我也喜欢和爷爷奶奶一起走进菜园，锄草、松土、播种、浇水，看着一株株小苗慢慢长大。我享受城市里难得的泥土气息，更满足于劳动带来的踏实感。当蔬果渐渐成熟，我会把新鲜有机的果实分享给邻居，用一份朴实的喜悦，温暖彼此的生活。
In my spare time, I also enjoy heading out to the vegetable patch with my grandparents to weed, loosen the soil, sow seeds and water the plants, watching the little seedlings grow little by little. I relish the rare scent of earth that one finds in the city, and I find great satisfaction in the sense of fulfilment that comes from working the land. When the vegetables and fruit begin to ripen, I share the fresh, organic produce with my neighbours, warming each other’s lives with a simple sense of joy.

Towards Goodness · A Glimmer of Light
多年来，我坚持为白血病儿童捐款捐物。每每想到同龄孩子正承受病痛，心中便满是心疼，只愿自己微小的善举，能为他们带去一丝温暖与力量。我也因此获得了"爱心奉献"证书。我始终相信：小小的善意，也能照亮远方。
For many years, I have made a point of donating money and goods to children with leukaemia. Whenever I think of children my own age suffering from this illness, my heart aches for them; I simply hope that my small acts of kindness can bring them a little warmth and strength. As a result, I have been awarded a ‘Certificate of Kindness and Dedication’. I have always believed that even a small act of kindness can bring light to those far away.

妈妈常说：“不必完美，不必刻意耀眼。你就是你自己，静待花开。”
Mum often says, ‘You don’t have to be perfect, and you don’t have to try to shine. Just be yourself and wait patiently for the flowers to bloom.’
我只愿做一个心怀热爱、脚踏实地、温柔而有力量的少年。
I simply wish to be a young person who is passionate, down-to-earth, gentle yet strong.
左手执剑，心怀暖阳，在热爱里生长，在温暖中发光。
With a sword in my left hand and sunshine in my heart, I grow through passion and shine with warmth.
